Psalms 138 - 1,2,3,8

   The LORD will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.
Don't abandon me, for you made me.

I was reading my daily book today, The verse above touch my Hand. (literally) So I felt I wanted to share this story with you.

As I was reading and focusing my daily thoughts on the bible. My left had started jumping, when I read the scripture above. So for today I choose to post it. If you read my earlier post you may know  I have a disability in my left arm with lots of pains,which cause my daily routine to be "abnormal" but then what is "normal". The muscle does not work to make a long story short,and that is why I use Watkins Natural products. However, today as I was reading the verse above my hand started twitching/jumping. I got a great feeling and for some seconds the stress and pain vanished. I was so happy I just had to share it today. So as stated in the beginning of the reading of Psalms Thank you Lord,Thank you.

Please today take some time and be thankful for what you have. Watkins spices ~Kathy's BBQ Ribs

In a mixing bowl,

combine

one half cup Watkins salt,

one half cup sugar,

 one quarter cup dark brown sugar,

 a tablespoon ground Watkins garlic,

tablespoon of Watkins ground onion powder,

 two tablespoons Watkins paprika,

two tablespoons Watkins chili powder,

 two tablespoons Watkins pepper,

 two teaspoons of cayenne pepper,

 one tablespoon of Watkins thyme,

a tablespoon of Watkins cumin,

and one teaspoon of Watkins nutmeg.

Take a spoon and stir all these dry ingredients together.

Rub the spices into the meat

Spoon some of the spice mix onto the ribs and rub into the meat. Rub spices into both sides of ribs

Prepare the fire

Prepare the wood by cutting it into smaller pieces and placing them into water to soak. Then place the charcoal coals on one side of the grill (the indirect method of cooking ribs) and add some of the wet wood on top. The idea behind wetting the wood is that you want the wood to smoke and not burn.

Keep the ribs moist

To keep the ribs moist, set a pan on the side of the grill and add a little bit of apple juice. You can also use wine or water or other kinds of fruit juice.

Place the ribs on grill

Lay the ribs on the grill, bone side down and place the top on the grill. Close any grill vents (try to get the temperature down to about 325 degrees) and cook for about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes

Brush honey on the ribs

Remove the ribs from the grill and brush on some honey

Place the ribs in a foil pan

Take a foil pan and put about an inch of apple juice in the bottom. Cut the ribs in half if necessary, and put them in the pan. Cover with aluminum foil.

Brush the ribs with Watkins BBQ sauce

Keeping the temperature at about 325 degrees, place the foil pan on the grill, put the top on the grill and cook for one more hour. Place the ribs on the cutting board and brush on some sauce - either home-made or prepared.  I add a little Watkins Dry Mustard TO WATKINS BBQ SAUCE FOR A stonger kick

Place ribs back on grill

Place ribs back on on the grill, put a little more sauce on the rib side and cook for just a few more minutes then remove. Serve the ribs as slabs or cut into individual ribs   YUMMY

2-4 drops Joy brand concentrated dish detergent (works the best)

2 drops blue food coloring (optional)

Baby Games at Bath Time

At Bath time you can enhance your babies’ cognitive,language,fine and gross motor, social and emotional skills at bath time. 

             Infants are taking everything, like a sponge. When children are very young, their minds are able to absorb and are eager to learn. Even a newborn will respond to the sound of a human voice, especially a parent’s voice. Parents and caregivers should talk to their newborns and even try gently shaking bells or rattles near them to see the way they respond to sound. Speaking softly to baby facilitates attachment and stimulates cognitive skills in babies who are just beginning to attend to the world around them.  

             Yes the little rubber ducky has a great purpose. Water toys in the tub are fun learning tools. You can find wonderful water toys in your own kitchen. Examples are a small bowl, plastic cup; a strainer as the baby grows you can add items to fit your baby age. In the meantime a young baby can learn by your gentle touches saying words to the baby, like Bath, fun, I love you, hand, face, arm etc... as you use the Baby wash you can say the smell of the wash, shea, sunflower, soft smell, nice. Also build infant cognitive skills at this age by playing music and singing along.

3. Speech and Language Development
   This is the child's ability to both understand and use language. For example, this includes a 12-month-old baby saying his first words, a two-year-old naming parts of her body, or a five-year-old learning to say "feet" instead of "foots".
   
   
4. Fine Motor Skill Development
   This is the child's ability to use small muscles, specifically their hands and fingers, to pick up small objects, hold a spoon, turn pages in a book, or use a crayon to draw.
   
   
5. Gross Motor Skill Development
   This is the child's ability to use large muscles. For example, a six-month-old baby learns how to sit up with some support, a 12-month-old baby learns to pull up to a stand holding onto furniture, and a five-year-old learns to skip.
