Five Flavor Cake Recipes: *Six Flavor Glaze
3cups/750ml Sugar *1/2tsp./ 125ml cup sugar
5 eggs, beaten until lemon
colored *1/4tsp. /60ml cup Water
3cups/750ml all-purpose flour * 1/2tsp.
/2.5ml Watkins Coconut Extract
1cup/250ml (2sticks) butter/margarine
softened *
1/2tsp. /2.5ml Watkins Rum Extract
½ cup/125ml vegetable shortening *1/2tsp. /2.5ml Watkins
Butter Extract
1cup/250ml milk *1/2tsp. /2.5ml Watkins almond Extract
1/2tsp/2.5ml Watkins
Baking powder
*1/2tsp.
/2.5ml Watkins Double-Strength Vanilla
1tsp/5ml Watkins
Coconut extract *1/2tsp. /2.5ml Watkins Lemon Extract

Rum extract

Butter Extract

Double-strength Vanilla
Cake Directions: Cream together Sugar, butter,
shortening in a large mixing bowl, until texture is light and fluffy. Next, add
eggs and beat until smooth. In a small bowl, combine flour and baking powder; mix well set aside. Now combine the
milk and 5 extracts; add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture alternately
with milk mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Spoon the
completed mixture into a greased 10in/25cm tube (angel food cake) pan. Bake at
325°F
(165°C) for 1 ½-1 ¾ hours or until toothpick tested is clear/clean. Cool for
10min. and then flip pan over to remove cake from pan and invert again.
Glaze
Direction: combine all ingredients in heavy saucepan bring to boil over
medium heat while constantly stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Slowly spoon
glaze on top of cake and let it drizzle down the sides. Let cool completely and
serve.
Note place wax paper if glazing on a
wire rack on the rack. Note 2: if you are saving some place extra cake in
freezer bags separate each pieces, you’ll be surprised how fresh the cake will
tastes month later, Watkins extracts hold up really well, when foods they are
